Took my 82' Vanagon GL On its first long trip to Virginia for BUGOUT59 in Manassas. Thought i was going to have problems going over the bay bridge as so easily cross winds and other factors make it hard for them to climb steep hills. She did real well had no problems, till the next day when my husband went to drive it and had a hard time putting into gear.. I had no idea Break fluid resisivor and clutch resivor were the same line.. so when he said we needed break fluid I drew a blank .... Only used 1/2 tank of gas from DE to prince william national park which i think is awsome!! Considering the prices of gas around here. Did good on the washington beltway in Afternoon traffic as well, no overheating which it did do one time after we took it to new jersey. Seems to be leaking a lot of oil though have to get that rear oil seal changed soon. other then that did real good, and wanted to push 70 miles per hour on the open highway!! Melissa |
