RE: Westy Sightings Expect to see a lot more Westfalias when you get up into Oregon and Washington, both Bus and Vanagon based. It looks like your schedule puts you a few days behind the WetWesties camp out at Camano Island in Washington this coming weekend. I don't know what route you are planning on coming up from Oakland but I drove Hwy 1 and 101 up to Astoria (where you cross over to Washington, just south of Long Beach) last month and it was beautiful all the way. Everything was still green from the heavy rains that California got two months ago. If keeping to Hwy 1 and the coast expect some construction delays along the way. Hwy 1 got hit pretty hard by the rains.
