That is where I installed mine. I had to trim the cooler housing quite a bit and cut out the inner part of the luggage rack to squeeze it in. There is a standard RV vent assembly in the ceiling between the front seats. It is only useful when you are parked. Been over 10 years now. Works ok in Baja much of the time but uses quite a bit of water in dry heat. We use it without water now mostly and always without when the humidity rolls in. Just the fan has been a life saver many times. It was less than half the price back then, but what wasn't. I wouldn't do it again, since we have found a better way to do the job.
