Don't worry about a book. To test basic operation, plug the fridge power cord into an extension cord, bypassing all the Vanagon electrical stuff. Under the sink you can see a hidden 110 volt outlet with a single cord plugged in. That cord is from the fridge. Unplug it and plug it into an extension cord that is powered. Turn the fridge selector switch to 110 volts. Turn the temp dial clockwise until it points straight up. Wait 4 - 6 hours. The metal fins inside the fridge should be cold to the touch. It takes a long time to get very cold and the fridge DOES NOT make any noise when it is running. It does NOT hum, buzz, click, or anything.
