That's the second suggestion to convert the 82 to carb I have received, I haven't even thought of that before and I even remember how to work on carbs. I agree that if want to stay with the stock engine then I should just get my local mechanic to fix the FI problemt. That would solve the FI problems but it still would not get me the power and reliabliltiy that I would get if I converted to a a more modern engine.
