Yea but something to consider. Like I said our business was black listed from one list and boy did it cause issues. It was nothing more then a small error.

I do think your idea is most likly true. I heard the big companies (AOL and the like) most like cashes their DNS and such for a very long time, thus the changes may take longer then would normally be expected!
