In your checking, don't overlook the heater core under the rear seat...mine was leaking at the valve...it was all over the floor under the carpet...

on the subject of never a dull moment, I just finished putting in my new steering rack and, lo and behold the odometer and trip odometer are not working- right that is...time to get into the archives again...
