Subject: Front window broken plastic bit
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1; format=flowed

On the passenger side, while re-installing the window, a little plastic part that helps connect the window to the regulator broke. It looks pretty important. I could use a new one, or a good used one. I have no idea what it is called or where to get one.

Page 57.4 of the official Vanagon service manual, Fig 6, shows two arrows pointing to a metal bracket thing. The metal bracket thing slides up and down the vertical window regulator shaft thing. (Like my technical terms?). That metal bracket thing has three plastic bits. You can see two of them in Fig 6, both on the side of the vertical window regulator shaft thing that faces the camera. There is a third one, hidden on the other side of the vertical thing. A studlike device on that vertical thing plugs into a hole on the third, hidden, plastic bit, and hauls the bracket thing up and down, raising and lowering the window.

It is that third, hidden, plastic bit that I need. Because it raises the window up and down, I consider it kinda important.

Dang I wish I had a parts diagram! I don't have enough rez on any of 'puters for ETKA.
