  How about an even better market solution ?  The digital clock from a '85 -'92 VW Golf Jetta will replace the Vanagon LCD . It is the same, can be found in junkyards.  I even have a few spares, will sell for less than $30.00 dollars.

  If you can, send the entire speedo cluster to me for replacement clock and cluster detailing.
