I couldn't agree more about the owners of the poor Westy (not the poor owners)and anybody traveling in a Vanagon without mechanical knowledge. It doesn't even matter if the the van is bone-stock. Most parts of the country have absolutely no support for broken down Vanagons or ANYONE (including the VW dealers) who knows how to work on them. You are on your own. John |
