Hi Jake,

Yea, it sounded silly, but I figured that was what a forum like this was good for, so I put it out there <shrug> It is probably just a coincidence that things were fine until I did the 4wd road, and on the way back to camp, there was a change in the feel of the pedal......

I just got done bleeding it, and I used the 'clean' fluid coming out, plus the amount in the catch jar to decide if I have pumped all the way through, and for the first 3/4 I was getting bummed because there was no air at all, but near the end, I got some pretty big burps out of it, and it seems to be back to normal, at the moment. Wish I had one of those pressure bleeders tho.....

Lacking the indication of any leaks, in the system, I guess have not fixed the problem, just attended to a symptom. Not sure where to look, but there are still lots of places to get opinions and ideas, and time to think on it.

On the plus side, I did get a closeup look at the inner CV joint boot which has split. That also happened on this last trip, as I always eyeball them all before any extended travel. Gotta get a truck or something to get to those places way back and up in those mountains, and leave the van for the paved roads... :-)

Thanks for the support and the suggestions.

John
