instead of buying new plugs, wires, etc. - which are working fine otherwise, buy a couple of $$ worth of dielectric grease and but it on the ends of the spark plug wires and the coil to distributor wire

This solved a similar problem for me several years ago with my Syncro.

Also check the Idle Control device in the box like space behind the right rear taillight assembly. The device and the plug it fits into should be mounted into a bracket on the back will with the wire pointing down. Lot of people find this device has just been laid back in there by a PO or a mechanic and can get wet easily in this position. Putting it in the bracket properly has solved problems related to wetness for many people.

Check to make sure all the clamps connections in the air intake are snug and moisture is not getting in there. Check other connections like Hall Sender, O2 sensor connections, but these latter items are less likely to be it.
