Hello All,

I am sure this issue has been address before but I am hoping for an abbreviated simple explanation.

I have an 88 Auto Vanagon, the AC just blows air but does not get cold at all. By accident when I first got the van I opened the blue release valve connected to the compressor in the engine thinking that is was a way to bleed the coolant system, stupid me.

Anyway I am wondering what the the process is for converting it to 134A? Can I do it or do I need a certified technician to do this? If so how much time should it take so I have an idea of costs...

Also I purchased a product from Target http://www.id-usa.com/product.asp?CID=7&PID=226, the item is not listed in their website but this is companies site, and the actual product is this... http://www.jcwhitney.com/autoparts/Product/tf-Browse/s-10101/Pr-p_Product.CA TENTRY_ID:2011345/showCustom-0/p-2011345/N-111+10201+600002308/c-10101

I am wondering if this can be used in the van? Has anyone ever used it?

Thanks, -- Rob NYC/Long Beach, NY 88 Wolfsburg, Silver
