what he said. tho once in the past, on a long since gone carat, i let my temper get the best of me after repeated attempts to "press table" as the little oe sticker states.. sat on floor, feet firmly placed on lower right corner of wallpanel by table, and fingers curled under the lower right lip of table... and gave a fierce yank... ripped the little latch screws right out of the formica table back.. replaced it with some industrial velcro, and never had a stuck table after that...

ps, i'd try felder's idea first :<)
