Well put Sam.  I agree that there are alot of well
meaning folks on this list that mis-quote the past
and I'm glad you stepped forward to make this
correction.  I've seen quite a few gems come from
the list and Darrel's creation and instructions
of the Digitool is one of the very best.  And I'm
sure many folks probably already understand that
he most likely quit making them because he was
probably overwhelmed by the demand.  I may be wrong
but it would not suprise me.

I would suggest to those that want one to study up
on some basic electronics and soldering.  There's
plenty of info. on the internet and books (remember
those?) that you can read and become knowledgeable
very quickly about how to put the Digitool together.
I'm sure there are many folks out there that have
already done this.  The silent majority of this list
probably reads most of the articles from the archives
as I usually do.  And they glean what they need from
the constant generous contributions of the collective
mechanical and electrical genius's.
