I checked the voltage at the alternator and at idle it's showing 12+V, I couldn't try increasing the RPM as my multimeter doesn't have alligator clips and nobody to rev the engine for me. I'll take it an Autozone and see what they have to say. As far at the O2 sensor light being on, I read in the archives that the bulbs are wired that way so that you get a check of the O2 bulb when the alt light goes on. Thanks for all the help

But, you should also check and fix your grounds, even if the alternator is bad. The three I'd check are the battery ground, the engine compartment ground (from the middle to the left side of the engine compartment), and the ground strap from the front of the transmission to the frame. Take them off, clean the contacts, and if they look old, replace them. Might as well change them all, just for good measure, if you ask me.

When you get the alternator checked, make sure they check the battery too.

Good luck, Wes
