Folks,
My 84 ASI Vanagon never had AC, but I want AC and will be starting from scratch. There are a few options I know of. 1) Roof top RV AC which requires an inverter, link- http://www.pplmotorhomes.com/parts/rv-air-conditioners/carrier-low-profile- rv-ac.htm 2) Roof top RV AC unit which draw direct current, link- http://www.dcairco.com/ 3) Cabinet heat pump such as the cool cat, link- http://www.advrv.com/ac.htm 4) Cabinet marine AC unit, link- http://www.dcbreeze.com/ Now the cost of some of these units put them out of reasonable reach of most sane people. But I have seen other Vanagons with roof top AC and side mounted cabinet AC units. I am wondering what others in my position have done before to their Vanagons. Can anyone who has actually done this type of conversion chime in please? -Emil |
