Sorry, I took it to mean the RED lamp (not LED) that indicates the SPARKER, not the green LED that indicated the FLAME. If it is the LED (which usually won't glow much until the flame has been on for several seconds anyway) then you could be low on propane.

A dim LED that goes out suggests to me that there was sufficient heat (flame) at the burner to light the lamp, but it did not get very hot and it went out. Not a bad sparker, else there would not have been any lamp lighting at all.
