Subject: Headlight / turn signal problems
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii"

I've tried searching on the archives but never have much luck so here goes... I'm trying to solve a headlight/turn signal mystery on my 87 westy. When the low beams are on, the passenger side appears somewhat "yellow" while the drivers side burns fine. When I switch on the highbeams, the drivers side is normal but the passenger side high beam does not come on at all and the high inside the low beam bulb just gets even "yellower". Add to this a turn signal problem that may be related?: my left turn signal blinks fast, right normal, but right will not blink at all when lights are on (park or headlights) and the left bulb has both filaments burning (turn and indicator) when lights are on. So far I've changed out all of the turn signal bulbs, one badly corroded socket, all of the headlight bulbs, headlight switch, and added headlight relays. No change in either condition. I also dropped the fuse panel and cleaned every ground on the two star grounds, cleaned behind them to bare metal, and replaced any connectors that were corroded, still no change. I'm going to try a new turn signal switch next but I'm getting tired of buying parts. Looking for any other suggestions from those that have walked before me, thanks.

Kevin
