IIRC, someone had a similar problem not too long ago and one of the real list "wizards" said to clean all the connections. It was Mark Drillock IIRC. I think he said that the system can get a reading that makes it seem that the bulb is out if there is corrosion and the current flow isn't what is expected, or if the resistance is too high. Therefore it blinks fast to notify you of the bad bulb. Can't remember it exactly, but it was due to corrosion.

You changed a corroded socket on the right, but the issue is on the left. Try cleaning up the contacts with the left bulb and the contacts of the wires to the board that holds the bulbs.
