The decoupler disconnects power transfer to the front wheels. It doesn't matter if you have a rear locker or not. No, you don't have to have the indicator panel, but it's sort of nice to know when you have engaged the front. The straight shaft is not a requirement.

Hello all,

These questions are aimed at those folks who have experience with the Syncro de-coupler.

Will the de-coupler provide any benefit on a van without a rear locker?

Is the indicator panel required to install the control switch?

Is the replacement of the VC with the straight shaft required?

Thanks, kevin
