Kevin,

If you really have an automatic, you definitely need a new mechanic. Automatics do not have flywheels...

Perhaps you have a broken flex disc, but usually when a flex disc fails it fails catastrophically and the van will not move.

Good Luck,

Jeff

Hello All:

In trying to evaluate the nasty sound coming from my 2.1L (automatic) a mechanic suggested it might be a loose flywheel. Anyone ever experience this? What is involved in diagnosing/fixing problem?

Thanks Kevin
