Hi all! New to the list and new vanagons. Im in the navy and out to sea right now so cant search the archives due to no internet access.

Will 27 x 8.5 R14 tires fit on my stock steelies? I have a 2wd vanagon GL in the process of converting to weekender just looking for a little

meaner tire so I can go camping in more rugged off the beaten path places I know its not a syncro but the stock tires look soooo small.

Any help would be greatly appreciated
