I have a "breakout box" type thingy I got from an old-time list member whose name I cannot recall who sold his last Vanagon last year, I think. It's a regular male FI harness connector epoxied back-to-back with a female connector robbed from a fried ECU, with a 6 foot cable to a row of terminal strips on a piece of plywood. It's pretty convenient, but you can't reach it while driving. That's probably a "feature" rather than a "bug", since if it WAS long enough, I'd probably be driving down the freeway at 70mph with it in my lap, trying to probe the AFM wiper input with a voltmeter...

It's a shame they went with such a weird connector for digifant. You can find "interposer" connectors for the old bosch jettronic all over the place.
