While running a compact fluorescent bulb with an inverter may be relatively energy efficient compared to an incandescent bulb, you still lose efficiency with the inverter. There are several companies that sell DC compact fluorescents, and you don't lose any efficiency with the inversion. These are also more efficnent than LEDs. Ed in CT |
