I am going with Dennis's times also...min 6 to max 8 hrs of labor charge to pull a syncro trans and do the clutch, pilot, etc.. Yes it can take less time, but you gotta figure what the equipment and tooling costs and insurance cost..not cheap these days...Around the Seattle area, the average labor is $85 per hr and nobody is getting rich doing this stuff..Dealers are over $100 and backyard guys are $50 or so..We also don't typicllly deal with rust problems out here...takes much more time back east. I pity Benny Boy in Canada... I recently pulled my eng and trans on my syncro together to deal with a few items...took about an hour longer to get out, but a couple more to get it back in and bleed the system, etc... For a customers rig, I always just pull the trans.. My record is in and out in an hour and 15 min..after a screw up of course and all tools handy and brain ticked off for being stupid, but typically it does take 4 plus hrs at best. Get a quote from someone who knows what he is in for and take your lumps if he runs into problems.. Hi All, I'm suffering from severe sticker shock. What is the average time to: 1) Pull a syncro engine and transmission together 2) Pull a transmission (without pulling the engine) 3) Replace the clutch (with the transmission out) 4) Replace the transmission (with the engine still in) Any thoughts? Chris
