Chris, I personally prefer the stock set-up but with the plastic panels and the narrower bench. However, guys like Dan in Hawaii Maui and few others have installed the flip-up side table w/o the plastic panels. They retained the wider GL seats. The downside is the table has to be in the "deployed" position before you can use the bed. Just watch your head (or feet) when you get up in the morning. =)
