 RE: AAA Memberships
AAA is run by State and region.  Each area of the country has different
fees/dues rates and slightly different rules.  So it depends on where you
live and who you talk to.  Although I understand that this is not allowed
anymore, I had personal experience about 10 years ago of a friend calling
AAA to call for a tow on my membership.  When asked if he was a AAA member
he said no and they asked him if he'd like to join right then.  He did and
they dispatched a tow on his brand new membership.  Since then I understand
that there is a waiting period before you can ask for road service.  Bottom
line, YMMV
