Seriously, there is something that might be attractive to somebody: The commonly available (Peltier-type) electric coolers have the same 40F-below-ambient limit as the Dometic's absorption cooling unit. But it should be possible to install one or two of the cooling elements into the void space aft of the fridge and arrange a cold-air circuit into said fridge that would allow considerably greater heat-extraction ability while underway or otherwise provided with about five amps/unit of DC. And unlike the fridge's cooling unit, they aren't a delicate gravity feed that loses performance while being sloshed around on the road. I imagine the setup would have to be manually corked when not in use unless it were very well insulated. Could be a bit tricky arranging the venting but I bet it could be done.
