It should come out, Cary. I just remove all the weather stripping. They all pop out anyway.You can put a flannel rag or other medium thickness material on the edge of the sill if you are worried scratching your tint. Most of us in CALIFORNIA do not worry about this because we are not allowed to have film tint on the front side windows.
