Check out http://www.hotrodair.com and
http://www.vintageair.com - and spend a little time
with their catalogs. I think its hotrodair that offers
the dual function units.
The trick here is that what they call an evaporator is
the entire unit, with heat exchanger, plastic shell,
vent outlets, fan, etc.
What I am calling an evaporator is just the actual
heat exchanger , to be worked into the front of a
vanagon so that we could use the existing airbox with
its vent network with related controls and fan.
Last time I looked through those catalogs they don't
offer the heat exchanger alone, though I guess you
could call them up and talk about 'em.
Anyway, thats my idea.
