This certainly shows the limitations of the "hard front" philosophy. Do you know the test conditions? Instructive to compare this with the photos of the Folksam offset-headon test against the Volvo wagon. It's always made me a bit queasy to know that the design philosophy in effect was to turn the other vehicle's crush space into a shared resource, trying to save my life at the expense of the other guy's. This really brings it home in a wrenching way. These vehicles -- seriously -- need airbags. Big ones, facing out. With a thiotimiline trigger.
