I saw that crash test a couple of months ago when it was posted on The Samba. It was posted after a series of photos depicting a 45 + 45mph offset frontal crash between a Westy and a Chrysler minivan. The Westy driver walked away, the Chrysler people went away in an ambulance.

Don't get me wrong, I don't think the VW was repairable, but it wasn't flattened either. See it here:
