SORRY ALL, WE'RE STILL ON-LIST FOR THE MOMENT - PLS IGNORE
Hi Frank -
I got your message on-list and off-list.
Was your message rejected by alum.mit.edu or by starpower.net or by rcn.net?
alum.mit.edu is a site that forwards email to my "real" address, which is at
starpower.net - rcn.net is part of the starpower system (well, actually
starpower is an old version of rcn). alum.mit.edu was down from around
10:00 pm Thursday to 10:00 a.m. Friday morning - your time, not Mongolia
time. Conceivably you got the message while the forwarding wasn't working,
though it clearly got stored somewhere because I got it once my backed-up
emails all got delivered after the forwarding was fixed.
Please look and see if you get this twice (personal and on-list) or only
on-list.
The error messages I got about the bounced messages to you say:
The following message to <RAlanen@aol.com> was undeliverable.
The reason for the problem:
5.1.0 - Unknown address error 554-': (HVU:B1)
http://postmaster.info.aol.com/errors/554hvub1.html\nTRANSACTION
<http://postmaster.info.aol.com/errors/554hvub1.html/nTRANSACTION> FAILED'
Then there's a .txt attachment that reads:
Final-Recipient: rfc822;RAlanen@aol.com
Action: failed
Status: 5.0.0 (permanent failure)
Diagnostic-Code: smtp; 5.1.0 - Unknown address error 554-': (HVU:B1)
http://postmaster.info.aol.com/errors/554hvub1.html\nTRANSACTION FAILED'
(delivery attempts: 0)
Reporting-MTA: dns; smtp01.lnh.mail.rcn.net
The dns address smtp01.lnh.mail.rcn.net is part of the starpower system. So
some part of my server got an unknown address error from AOL.
If any computer geeks on the list are still reading, maybe you can help us?
Joy

Joy, thanks ! AOL does not like you for some reason ! Actually this has
been a problem for some time. I'm gonna call them again today and give
them a
piece of my mind - if there's any left to give !
Sorry to bother the LIST with this but --- Joy the above message to you
was not accepted by your E-mail provider. So now we are not able to
communicate privately ???? Your server and mine are not getting along ???
When I spoke to AOL yesterday they said that if the e-mail you sent to me
was bounced by them, the reason for doing so is in the bounced mail message
you received and only you have that message and they need to know what it
said to proceed any further with the inquiry. Try to send me that message
if you can and get this discussion off the LIST.
