Not so much, but they're only a few days drive and a ferry ride from Africa. Seems like most of the 'moggers and Syncro-nuts in Germany spend weeks at a time trying to get themselves stuck in the most inconvenient places they can find in Africa (Bernd Jaeger comes to mind < http://www.syncro-bernd-jaeger.de>).
