Excuse the cross posting. My dual AC system that hasn't worked for over a year has now been converted to R134 and I had a cold ride home this morning. However, since this is northern New Mexico, that wasn't an adequate test. I will head for Oklahoma over the weekend to see if it's really fixed. The Subie compressor (which I was told needed replacing) was actually OK and the expansion valve was blocked. It was replaced, the system was vacuumed and flushed and R134 was added along with an additional 6 ounces of ester oil. Fingers crossed. Maggie '85 Subaru Westy |
