Maggie, Do I under stand that you WANT to run R134a in your system?? As I understand it, to use Freeze 12, supposedly a near perfect replacement for Freon R12, the R12 system must first be converted to a R134a system in the first place, and then and only then can you convert to Freeze 12 So you actually go from Freon R12 to R134a then to Freeze 12. I have not actually seen this, but I suspect that one reason for this R134a conversion BEFORE using Freeze 12 is that you must use the R134a fittings for the Freeze 12.
