Someone with more detailed ECU knowledge than I should probably verify my supposition... For the Idle Controller, you DEFINITELY want the D revision. The first version, revision B*, proved to have less than stellar longevity, and seems to be the primary culprit in giving the Idle Controller its reputation for failure. VDO redesigned it slightly for the D revision, replacing a few key parts with heavier-duty versions. * Revisions A and B were the first generation models for the European and North American markets, respectively. C and D were the second generation Euro and NA units. Not sure why the Euro and NA Digifant T3's required different Idle Controllers. -- John Bange '90 Vanagon - "Geldsauger" |
