A window AC unit draws the most power when the compressor kicks in. I don't think you'd get many hours out of a window AC unit using batteries. Honestly, a better (but not necessarily cheaper) option is to get a Honda Generator (the 1000 is a nice compact and relatively light...and especially quiet generator.) Just enough power to handle a small window mount AC, with a bit to spare. I've not tried this combo for a full night, though I do have it. I tend to try to camp in cooler and less humid climes.
