Subject: Freeze 12 Update
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1; format=flowed

I searched for a few weeks and couldn't find a shop who would deal with my AC system with Freeze 12 in it. Finally, while I was talking to yet another mechanic who wouldn't touch it, he suggested I go to a FLAPS and see if I could find out who is BUYING Freeze 12. Now why didn't I think of that? I went to the Checker store here in Santa Fe and Sef (the manager I think) spent a fair amount of time on the phone tracking this down, eventually calling the regional distributor. Through him I found a shop in Albuquerque who will convert the Freeze 12 to R134. They were also willing to listen to me about using enough oil in the dual system (10-12 ounces instead of 4), so maybe, just maybe, I will have AC next week when I go pick up three grandkids and a dog in Oklahoma.
