There's not a single patron saint for VW's but these four should about cover a trip across country in a Vanagon.

St. Anthony of Padua - Travelers St. Frances of Rome - Motorists St. Rita - Impossible Causes St. Dymphna - Insanity

but ... but ... but ... what about St. Christopher???

according to some, he's the patron saint of ... - automobiles - bachelors - BUS DRIVERS - hazards of traveling - motorists - porters (as in TRANSporters??) :) - travel - travelers - truck drivers.

gee ... all that kinda sounds like vw bus drivers!! :) and it has a bit of vw/porsche history in that the original porsche factory magazine for their customers was called Christoph (i'm sure i've seen this, but can't find any reference to it on the web by google).

and we see replicas of the old st. christoper medallions for 100 000 km, which folks used to display proudly on the front of their vw beetles (and mercedes and porsches and audis) ... http://www.worldwidestore.com/BD156c.htm

so i think the only one we need is St. Chris. :) or we could make up our own ...

St. Constance ... patron saint of CV joints. St. Axel ........ i'll let you guess on this one. :) St. Gaston ...... carburetors, fuel injection, fuel pumps, gas tanks. and so on. perhaps this could be your assignment for Phrydaye. :)

unca joel
