Like I said ... it's become a deferred maintenance item mainly because with the wheelcover on ... it's "Out of site, out of mind". I just keep forgetting to obtain one of the little "C" clips.

I suppose I could always fix it like my older beetles were ... drill a hole through it and use a small cotter pin ... heheheheh

Actually I don't really have much of an excuse in that my '84 has the clip. I could always remove it and go shopping for one the same size.
