Hi volks I replaced my completely rusted out exhaust system today with an S&S header (more later) and installed a new o2 sensor since the one that was in the rusted piping was rusted in solid and broken off. When I bought my van (85 GL 1.9) there was a new o2 sensor in the glove box so I put it in today. It is a universal design bosch with 1 wire. Now from above I can see a bright green wire with a black male spade connector, but from below by the sensor location there Is a harness with 2 wires that are cut one brown and one green/brown. Which one do I hook the o2 sensor to and is a 1 wire sensor the right one?
The S&S header went in absolutely perfect with no fitment issues. I took me an hour to get the old out, an hour to remove all the old studs and 30-45 minutes to install the header with all new studs and nuts.
Any help with the o2 sensor wiring would be greatly appreciated. Jonathan
While I was working on it I met a guy with an 80 westy and his sits way lower to the ground than mine. He asked if mine was a Syncro because of my new 27x8.5R14s look so big on it. |
