So is what is the failure trend with the fuel lines? Is this unique to vanagon FI as I have driven many cars with 20+ year old fuel lines w/o a single issue. I noted there are "odd" sleeves over the lines running to the injectors and they have to have a "goop" in there like a varnish that has dripped out of one. Is this an adhesive for the sleeve? None would think gas and varnish are a logical connection but fuel definitely streams/drips when there is a leak so I'm not concern until reading this.
