You want chart, I give you chart! http://static.flickr.com/65/190356193_7443554e9a_b.jpg This test was done with the refer in the van, on propane, nothing in it but the sending unit of the wireless thermometer I used. I have since decided that I wanted to build a data logger and redo the test with thermo sensors in a number of places. Under fridge, at fins on back, in fridge, on fins in fridge, in a potato or something else in the fridge with some mass, etc. I recently took a hot driving trip in my Westy and decided not to worry about the readings I was getting from my thermometer in the fridge. At night it would get it down into the 40s or 30s, and then in the hot day, it would climb sometimes up to the low 50s. Yikes! Oh, yeah, don't worry about it, I forgot. I didn't keep the food in there around too long, but also noticed that when i would take something out at midday, it felt a lot cooler than the mid 50s. My sensor in the fridge is attached to the top rack, near the fins, but also in the way of air blowing from the tiny fan I use in there to circulate the air. Edward |
