Subject: Imagine My Surprise - Thanks to all

Folks,

Just wanted to send a thank you note to all who replied about my question on restarting an stored Westy i posted a while back.

It's an interesting situation... the owner has developed a fairly strong opposition to burning fossil fuels, so he has no plans to drive the van anytime soon. But at the same time he would rather not sell it... at least not at the moment.

My plan is to keep in touch with the owner... and possibly persuade him it would be good to get the van out on the road and see if there are any mechanical issues to be addressed... then come up with a plan. Of course my implicit goal is to sell my van and buy his. But, that's just me being selfish. After all there's nothing wrong with my van... it's just not an Orly blue '91 with 1/3rd the miles of my van :-)

Thanks again all.
