Thats really the only spot higher up on the door where the magnets fit behind, without getting in the way of the window roller.

Ive been trying to come up with a decent van system for years, and there just isn't any really 'perfect' options, especially with the two front doors so far apart from each other. The phasing is just never quite right, your either listening to 80% of the right or left speaker, but never even close to 50/50 unless you pan to one side and sacrifice the passenger sound.
