Worn inner tie rods require only replacing the inner tie rods. Not that big a deal.

The steering rack (again is going to have to be replaced once again. The inner tie-rods are worn-out and their is some sloppy steering wheel play. does anyone know what the best refurbished of steering gears are for the vanagon? I can find all sorts of them online with all different price ranges but don't know which are junk and which brands will hold up. any help will be appreciated.

All so, how much of a job is it to replace the axle bearing they are getting a little noisy.

All of this information is for my 1987 wolfburg with automatic.

Chris S.
