15 amp fuses, both blown and these are the same bulbs that have been in there since I got the Vanagon. I changed both the fuses and did it again when I tested the brights. FWIW they first went out after a few mile drive down a poor dirt road. I guess I'll have to get into to it and start looking at each wire in that system.... I'd guess the headlights are a good place to start.
