Sorry, David, I don't have a cap ... but ... What I'm about to say may help after you get a replacement.

My '84 and my '85 have the gas caps that use a smaller "Gas" key (not the ignition key). I keep it on the ignition key ring. When I unlock the cap I insert the ignition key into the passenger door handle which leaves the gas cap hanging right there next to the filler. Hard to lose the cap ... hard to lose the keys.
